In 1967, Jim Bland completed his architectural training at Texas A&M University and began working for a commercial construction firm in Waco, Texas. Using the skills he learned as an architectural draftsman, he founded Jim Bland Construction in 1974. Since that time, Jim Bland Construction has built hundreds of homes in  Central Texas and has developed many of the most beautiful subdivisions in the area. From the beginning, Jim Bland Construction has utilized innovative floor plans and has always been open to incorporating new ideas so that every Jim Bland home is unique in its design and appearance. Building custom homes as the primary source of business, Jim Bland Construction specializes in the individual home buyer by encouraging their cooperation in the building process. It is from this practice that Jim Bland Construction developed its motto: “Your Partner in Building.”
